Admit: MIT Sloan, Kellogg
What stoke me about Sam on our first call is that he is not about bullshit. He will not say things just to please you and sugarcoat your profile to make you choose him. Instead, he gives you honest feedback and provides a structured plan to get the best out of you. After several calls with boutique and established admission consulting companies and feeling like I was being sold on their services, I knew that Sam was what I was looking for, since I really value sincere and honest relationships.
Then as I started working with Sam, I initially felt uncomfortable sharing my personal life stories, as I did not understand how doing so was connected to the application process. However, he pushed me to battle through my insecurities and after several “therapy-like” sessions, I realized that we developed a story that not only sounded personal and unique, but also completely resonated with me, making me believe in it and embrace it as my journey and purpose.
Now, as I reflect on our work after multiple admits to Sloan, Kellogg and other schools, I realize that what Sam provided me were not the admits, but personal growth and purpose that will guide me throughout the MBA program and beyond.
